I have a tourney coming up and was thinking about the following, ive been using it with success - just swapped a merc co pilot on Krassis with the 2 intel agents as he was not working a great deal and I think ill get more out of the 2 Intels for my Engine upgrade and when to boost and what direction.

List is -

Kath Scarlett + HLC, Intel Agent, EU, Swarm Tactics

Krassis Trelix + HLC, EU, Intel Agent

As much as I like the HLC, I find its better on a Bwing or Defender. The greatest strength of the Bounty Hunter is the auxiliary fire arc, especially when equipped with an engine upgrade. You would be much better served with the following:

Fett + Predator + EU + Recon Spec

Kath + Predator + EU + Recon Spec + Slave 1 + Flechette Torpedo

Alternatively, if you are afraid of Whisper and Han, I would drop Predator from both ships and add VI and Seismic charges. In that case you would be at PS10 and PS9 with a 99 point build.

I have a strong preference for three-ship lists when I run double Firesprays--a named pilot, Bounty Hunter, and Night Beast/Backstabber/Dark Curse/Alpha Squadron. The extra ship not only reinforces your firepower but pads out your hit points as well, and against Phantoms it gives you one more firing arc.

I think ill give the Boba/Kath one a bit of a spin but change the Title/Flechette with a Proximity mine just to see how I get on.

I like the HLC with the EU though as you can get shots off on the first turn and the opponent does not get the range 3 bonus, also if they don't think they can get in range they not put an action on, hehe

So many nice shiny toys to upgrade with and so few points lol

If I want 2 Bounty Hunters I'd go:

2x BH (33 each) plus Shuttle (21) -> 13 pts for upgrades.

options:

-2x gunners for BH and Vader on shuttle.

-recon specialist/ rebel captive for BH, FCS and engine for Shuttle (1 pt left)

Just my 2 cts.

Afterthought; Have you considered dropping Krassis for a doomshuttle and a buzzsaw?

If you are intent on running just two FS, Kath and Boba are the two to pick. Just for the simple fact that you'll want as high a PS as possible. You really need to take out a ship before it can fire to help even the odds. Krassis + Kath is just not high enough even with ST, especially against Phantoms. Also the ST will restrict you into flying close. Something that will doom a two ship build.

Give up some upgrades and add a third ship. 2 Bounty Hunters with HLCs, and your preference of Mauler Mithel+Predator or Backstabber+Engine Upgrade both are great lists with surprising damage output and decent longevity.

From personal experience, I'd much rather have VI on Mauler than Predator.

I used to do Krassis + Kath builds and couldn't figure out why my games were so inconsistent. I thought PS7 & 5 was pretty good, but then when I switched to Kath + Boba it was a big difference.

I've been running this to good success lately, winning about 75% of the time.

Boba + HLC + Predator

Kath + HLC + Predator + Rebel Captive
