What ships should I buy?

...Got cut off there

From my experiences, (like many others have said) the core sets are a great way to go, as X-wings are the most reliable fighter the Rebels have and every time I play against my friend as the Empire I always win, because I bring a ton of cheap ties with some better ships and just mass him with fire.

Ships I've had a great deal of fun with:

Empire: Tie Defender (it's a beast!)

Tie Phantom (low hull, but very fun to play with)

Rebels:

HWK (with the Moldy Crow Title, Recon Specialist and blaster turret; allows you to get two each time you focus, keep them at the end of the turn and if used on Katarn you can just start handing them out!)

Ships I have been disappointed in:

Empire:

Lambda Shuttle (it's good point is that it's cheap and can hand out target locks, the bad points are that it is incredibly slow and it's firepower is a joke; it should have a rear firing arc as well considering it has a gun back there, and yes, I know there is a pursuit upgrade, but it's too situational and not very good when it does work.)

Rebels:

A-wing (they are very fast, but just don't hold up against the Tie Interceptor)

B-wing (it's really just a modified Y-wing stat-line, without the turret and astromech...Y-wing is a better choice in my opinion, as the astromech can easily keep your ship alive all game)

Two core sets is a good start. Then get what you want.

I've got a defender and interceptor and the TIE expansion

(I've also got a similar rebel force so that I can play with my family)

But yes, it all depends on how much money you want to throw at the game.

And if you play only with small ships like X- or Y-wings, you don't need the cards from the corvette like C-3PO. But you get a X-wing with the GR-75, so if I'm going to buy a big ship later, it will be the GR-75 I think. But now I will focus on the smaller ships.

If youre hooked to this game, you're going to end up with huge amounts of ships eventually. haha, theyre all fun, theres no point in worrying.

Imperial Aces is still fun and decent.

Again, most people say get another core set.

Yesterday I played a few matches with a friend, but they were very short, and as the others said, you get enough dices and 3 ships with the coreset, so i will probably but that, because that will improve the game very match. And 4 TIE's would be fair against the Falcon at my opininion. But i will wait with buying till I get the Falcon this week.
