Have you tried it post? Seems like it could handle the Phantom.

I've not had the opportunity to try it or look for possible wave 4 tweaks to it.

I use him as a flanker and design the rest of the list around being a large enough threat that they need to ignore Luke until later.

Keep Luke alive till the endgame and he is almost impossible to take down.

I'm liking Luke with R5P9 now because of the shield regeneration with the extra moves!

I haven't had a chance to try that combo I'd like to add predator to that it seems like it flows pretty good.

the easiest way to make him effective is Engine Upgrade.

Can he be effective in the current meta?

Once lone wolf is out he'll be a beast! Stacking a defensive re-roll with his ability is pretty powerful. You can also give him Experimental Interface and R2F2 to further increase his tankiness.

Man I didn't think about lone wolf with him I need to try it with him I grabbed 2 yt2400s at gencon I'm try it out.

I've been thinking about using Luke as a flanker with one of the following setups

Luke +r2d2

Luke+r7+ lone wolf

Luke+r7+predator

Luke+r5p9+lone wolf

The idea with R7 is that since you essentially get a defensive focus you can keep taking target locks offensively and use them defensively to further frustrate your opponent.

Next time i play i'll be using him with

wedge+stay on target

roark garnet +ion cannon

bandit/tala depending on lukes point cost or maybe bandit and giving wedge r4-d6.

presumably ill start with luke with r2d2

I'm really looking forward to using that list, its thematic with elements of Rogue Squadron which is what i've wanted since i've started this game and I think it can at least hold its own against falcons and phantoms

The idea is to fly in a 2x2 formation with the rookies leading the way. Preferably Luke would make it into the end-game where he could recharge a couple of shields and hopefully have the highest PS. At PS 10 he would also be shooting before any phantoms and would move after popular PS-9 guys like Soontir Fel. I really like Luke btw, his ability is really useful and he makes a great combo with R2-D2. This build has got some retro feel to it, everything in it originates from wave 1.

Yea I find Luke to be really strong during the end game.

Also I'm trying to build a sqaud around Luke R2D2 and predator any fellow pilots have any idea's?
