If I use the enhance on my opponent's attack, do I gain 7 life as X= 0?

My initial instinct is to say that X is undefined because there is no variable, so you gain nothing.

I'll go and chat with Tag & Hata to see where we fall on this one.

These strike me as relevant, to support Antigoth's assessment. They don't specifically apply, but they seem close enough to set a precedent, and perhaps guide towards an additional rule for the next version:

"2.13.7A To be able to resolve an effect, it must have a valid target.
2.13.7B If an effect would be generated from modifying something that is unable to be modified, that effect generates no result instead.
2.13.8 When a player has the option to choose a number for X, X must be a positive number."

Possible suggestion: In order to make it apply specifically, 2.13.7B could be changed so that "modifying...modified," becomes "modifying or referencing...modified or referenced,"

In this case, there is no valid "your attack" target.

However, it might be worth having another look at cases where there is a valid card target (e.g. a card references "the previous card in your card pool") but not a valid value (e.g., it references "the speed of the previous card in your card pool," but the previous card is an attack and has no speed).

There are also the cases where there is no previous card in the card pool at all. (Previously X would have been ruled to be 0.)

In fact, 2.13.8 could probably be expanded on to further explain variables within effects.

Noted.

( I just did a quick review of all of the adjustments to be made to the next version - The updates section is going to be fairly extensive. )

So cards such as World Champion won't work on your opponant's turn?

It CAN, if you have an attack in your card pool, and you meet all the other requirements.

One small side question: If you activate the first enhance on a multiple copy of Kuzuryu Reppa, will you gain 4 or 7? Would it need to say "printed" in the ability for it to have a control value of 0 on the multiple copy?

You would gain 4. Multiple copies printed values are all 0. However, unless it specifies printed, all figures and stats are identical to the original. So in this case control 3.

How does that work? Multiple copies are zero's for everything I thought? If that wasn't the case crappy cards such as Tae Kwon Do strike would be even crappier!

Correct.

Treasured Gift checks the control value of the card, not the printed control.

B-Rad - If all values of Multiples were 0, then it would be 0 speed/0 damage.

Sorry meant to throw "printed" into that last statement ><
