TIE Advanced will be the new meta!

Darth Vader/TIE Advanced +Proton Rockets +Daredevil +Engine Upgrade

2×Storm Squadron Pilot/TIE Advanced +Proton Rockets +Engine Upgrade

This is a good build, but you are wasting your Focus to boost into position on two-thirds of your attack force. That means, Chewbacca (the lowest names Falcon pilot worth taking out) is going to laugh at you as he takes out one third of your attack force with his volley while Vader fires at you.

Proton rockets are going to be a good supplement to Vader, Maarek, or a four-Advanced swarm, but I believe they are being brought to help the Rebels content with TIE Swarms and Doom Shuttles.

There is still no effective counter to a non-swarm Imperial player to defeat a HSF build without lucky dice.

If you want to go that route I'd recommend:

4x A-wing; Green sqd pilot; PTL& proton rockets.

Far, FAR better dial plus PTL shenanigans.

Now that is a brutal list. 5 attack die with rerolls for the win. Ad they are much better dogfighters after the missiles are gone with PTL to up the damage and boost into range 1.

Can I tell you guys a secret?

When I made this topic - I had forgotten that Proton Rockets were range 1! ha ha ha! oh well now I'm stuck defending this squad's significant weakness!

I think that this Missile will go good on Vader, and OK on the other TIE Adv. if they have some other support, like a FLeet Officer to hand out Focus.

Uh, what? I've flown several variations on this, including in the most recent Vassal tournament, and I haven't lost to a Falcon list yet.

Captain Jonus (22)

Deadeye (1)

Flechette Torpedoes (2)

Homing Missiles (5)

Gamma Squadron Pilot (18)

Proton Torpedoes (4)

Cluster Missiles (4)

True, I ANNIHILATED an HSF (though, it was Chewie, not Han) with a Jonus-powered TIE Bomber list at my most recent tournament. Though, in fairness, my opponent didn't know what he was doing.

Still, I think bomber lists can be very effective against HSF-style lists.

Which is good. I like bombers.

Two Tempests with PR paired with two RGP w/ PTL might not be bad. Use the Tempests to charge in and unload their PRs, also will help to draw fire and block, while the RGPs do their dance of death. You got two points left to add a TC to a RGP or go with Phennir + VI.
