Discussion of the new FAQ/Tournament Rules

No tiebreaker points, it is now better to win both games in swiss (which means less importance on fast decks/winning a certain way but more importance on just winning both games), swiss now cuts to a double elimination bracket which scores differently if games go to time, the word "copy" is defined, and more.

So what does everyone think about it?

Going to time in the elimination rounds is really interesting. I never thought they'd issue 0.1 points for each damage on an objective. And giving 0.25 to the one who holds the balance of the Force is also a neat idea.

I'm glad they are more explicit about their thoughts on what constitutes cheating. There was some discussion a couple months ago about colluding and it seems FFG doesn't approve at all.

Love them. Stupid tiebreaker is gone. No more playing to lose less, now you play to win.

Yeah, I agree that the new scoring for ties in the double eliminations are quite interesting. It feels to me like that represents who was overall doing better in that game since it takes into account how close they were to their victory condition, how offensive/defensive they were and whether they were controlling the Force.

No more tiebreaker is such a nice sight to see. The scoring is so simple now for swiss.

The only part I dislike is the time rules for the elimination rounds. I understand the logistics of not wanting to run so many untimed games, but that's a really messy solution.
