YT-2400 speculation

By Chris R, in X-Wing

The coming YT-2400 definitely has a lot of players excited. It seems part of the fun is trying to guess what the upgrades that have yet to be revealed are going to be. So I figure we might as well kick around our speculations just for the fun of it so here goes.

Judging on what I have seen so far each ship, pilot, ability, ect... seems to be at least loosely based on the movies, games, or expanded universe material. Take for example Lando's inclusion in the YT-2400 expansion. Seems random right? Not quite... it was Lando who hired Dash to track down Boba Fett and retrieve Han so Lando does have some connection to Dash. Lando of course as a gambler gets an ability suited to his gambling addiction even being pictured in the infamous bet against Han for ownership of the Falcon.

We can see from the pictures that Dash is included as both a pilot and a crew, and this has been a growing trend as of late. Also in past expansions we have seen famous duos like Han and Chewie and Kyle and Jan released both as pilots and crew so both can be used together. That said I think it is safe to assume we will be seeing Dash's droid companion LE-BO2D9 included probably as both a crew card and one of the other pilots (my bet is on the PS 5 pilot). According to my reading LE-BO is a repair droid so his abilities will likely be defensive in nature. Dash's crew card will likely either offer another mobility enhancement like his pilot card or some kind of offencive buff possibly. Not sure who the third named pilot will be.

Well what guesses do you guys have to offer? By the way I meant to include the Decimator in the discussion as well, but I guess I forgot to mention it since I didn't have much speculation to offer on it myself.

Edit: Actually... Screw it... How about we just open it up to speculation in general about any and all future expansions. Like for example will we ever see Roark Garnet's travelling companion introduced as a crew card? Don't know who that is? Well here is some info borrowed from Roark's wiki page on him:

"Joh Yowza, a Yuzzum, worked with Garnet after stowing away aboard his ship, before leaving to join the band Evar Orbus and His Galactic Jizz-Wailers."

I am sure there will now be many a joke about the Jizz-Wailers after that... now that I think about it.

Sorry in advance for not contributing: but I want the dial! I'm so ready to fly this ship.

Try the Falcon dial?

It's a pretty safe guess from the first few letters in the other unique cards that the other pilots are PS 5 Leebo and PS 3 Earden Vrill (Dash's navigator.)

I didn't even know Dash had a navigator. It only seemed to show Dash and LE-BO in the Shadows of the Empire game. Is Earden from the comics by chance?

Obligatory Wookieepedia link says he's from a 2010 novel.

Well that is interesting.

Being a mainly rebel player I would have thought I wanted to see this more but I find myself pulled more towards the decimater. Not sure why

Pretty sure that's just gravity. It's a big model.

I remember the Decimator in Star Wars Galaxies. The **** thing is hollow. No really... only one room filling the entire interior.
