The NOVA Open is the final weekend of August. I think I have a Tourney ready 100pt squadron but some of the cards come in the Rebel Aces pack.
All FFG gives us is that it's expected Q3 this year. Does anyone have an idea if that means during the month of august or not? I hear it's on the boat, but noone ever seems to know the exact street date of these things until a week or so before they come out.
It should be here around the first week of September, plus or minus a week.
I think it will be out a couple weeks before that, in time to be at least purchased at gencon maybe? I would guess it would not be legal for gen con though, as there is similar precedent for past ffg products and gen con. I see a similar possible timing with wave 5 and worlds in November.

I'm predicting a GenCon exclusive release then FFG for no good reason holds the rest back until September to annoy the 99%.
It'll probably be September time I would not bank on having those cards to hand and make an alternative list just in case.

Maybe, here is the math.
They shipped out on 7/17, add 9 weeks based off of the information from updated page and you have sept 18th as arrival. Maybe week of sept 4th or sept 11th if the shipping is quicker but a lot of products are taking 6 weeks to ship. (Wave 4 and reprints)
On the Boat (4-6 weeks)
The product is traveling from the printer to our warehouse. The duration of this process varies depending on where the printer is located, be it in the US, China, or Germany, but generally takes four to six weeks.
Now Shipping (2 weeks)
The product is being shipped from the FFG warehouse in Minnesota to stores and distributors. This process takes between 7-10 days for the US, or a few days longer in Canada.
In Stores Now! (1 week)
This game is recently available at your Friendly Local Game Store and on the FFG online store. Products will be removed from the "Upcoming" records about 7 days after they have become available to retailers. If you don't see an FFG item here, please search our general catalog.

By which you mean, has a limited amount of stock flown in for GenCon, and gets the rest to their distributor as soon as they arrive on the container ship...?
Yeah, they will have Rebel Aces at Gencon. That doesn't mean they will be released at that time. I also wouldn't be surprised if they have some Wave 5 at Gencon.
