Interest For Years

By Voxslain, in Star Wars: The Card Game

I've been interested in the game for years. Right when I was I about to jump in X-Wing grabbed my attention and I've been playing ever since. I am ready to split my focus but I'm wondering is the game dying? It sure looks like a blast but I don't want to commit then have to drop it. Any advice would be appreciated.

The game is nowhere near dying (though these forums tend to be a poor indication of that... most of the activity occurs on cardgamedb.com).

The biggest thing is location some areas are better than others for sure

Some areas nay, others yay. But only through player growth can we...grow. It is a VERY fun game and a thriving game in this area. But don't let your need for popularity cause you to miss out on the fun that this one is.

I'd say get the core set (or two) and Edge of Darkness (or two) at least, and try it out. It is really fun, and I find it fills a different type of game role than X-Wing. There was a lull for a while, which lost some players, but they've ramped back up to a pretty steady release schedule. I'm not sure if you've watched any tournaments on Team Covenant or anything, but if you find those interesting in the least, you will like the game.

I really appreciate your quick and encouraging responses. Making me really want to jump in.

The thing is, it's only fun if you have people to play with.

I'm people Marth! You can play with me!

I happen to like nice men.
