The Crek

The Crek are a recently encountered species from beyond the rifts of Hecaton. looking almost humanoid with an octopus head. In combat the Crek use powered cyber-suits and cybernetic implants however there have been instances of Crek fighting unarmored. Potent telepaths, the Crek communicate solely thru mind linking. Merciless plunderers, the Crek cannot be bargained or reasoned with.

If they're latent telepaths, how do they communicate exclusively through telepathy? Do they possess physical senses, or do they see everything through the veil of the Warp? Are they like psychic octopus robot pirates? Because if so, that's awesome.

These guys seem pretty interesting. I'd be tempted to give them some form of ink cloud and possibly a form of camoflage similar to a what a kroot gets. If only because octopusses have those traits. If they didn't have cybernetics adding structure and armour to them I'd even consider making them amorphous. Perhaps not in the true sense of the word but cephalapods lack solid structures and have a high degree of flexibility. Perhaps they could have the Malleable mutation applied to them.

Malleable: The mutant possesses a sickeningly liquid flexibility and is able to distend and flatten its body. Increase its Agility by 10. It gains a +20 bonus on Climb Tests and grappling attacks. Also, it may fit through spaces as small as one quarter its usual body dimensions

Actually these guys seem like they could be an offshoot of the Enslavers ( http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Enslavers ). That would be pretty cool.

Ack, they're like Illithids if they hung out with Vilgax; at my age, I'm not sure I should get BOTH of those references. Sort of imagining General Durge leading a pack of these things.

When equipped with mechanized body armor, the Crek can be lethal adversaries.
