So. I really like the Falcon and the Firespray, but am having some difficulty flying it. Specifically, the large ships tend to hit asteroids or be blocked by smaller ships too easily. The Firespray (but not the Falcon) also tends to fly off the board too easily, as I maneuver it so that enemy ships can be shot at.

Any tips on how to fly large ships? Youtube video links would also be helpful. Thanks.

Increase mobility with Expert Handling and Engine Upgrade (preferably both).

And use the edges! That 2 range border is where I see most of the large ships!

I second Veldrin's advice, especially reading Osoroshii's Earning Your Wings.

Another thing you need to do is work on your asteroid placement. Try to make lanes for the large ships to fly through, it's very imporatant for the Firespray, and crucial for the Shuttle. The Falcon can be a bit easier because of it's 1 Turn (which seems odd to me that it can make sharper turns than the Firespray) so you might want to start with it until you're more comfortable maneuvering the large ships.

Engine upgrade snd Expert Handling are amazing on large ships, but I think you should focus on mastering those ships without them (excpet for the shuttle, which needs the EU).
