Can Red Lotus of the Sun negate...

By guitalex2008, in UFS Rules Q & A

1) Amy's Assistance?

2) More Machine than Woman?

3) Ka Technique?

4) No Forgiveness?

5) Jealously-Guarded Secret?

6) Ira-Spinta?

7) .:Victor:.?

I'd include card texts, but it would be wall-o-text.

1. yes

2. yes (not 100% on this one, but im pretty sure)

3. No (no destoying, negating, or removing going on. Just an "alteration")

4. No (see above)

5. Yes

6. yes

7. yes

100% sure on ispin and amy's. Pretty sure on the others.

Red Lotus cannot stop i-spin because there is no destroying, commiting or removing.

to move a card to the momentum you have to remove it from the staging area, so yes I spin is negated by lotus, dont forget to do the cost of it though.

yes its been ruled on, yes its been played like this at every major event ive been to.

just seems a bit odd since your momentum is in your staging area. Moving a card from one place in your staging area to another place seems to not remove to me. But if thems the rules.

momentum is not your staging area. It is an "in play" zone but NOT part of staging area.

See victor (add 1 card from staging area to your hand) etc

So it is. Good work Mr M!

I'd like to add 'Heel Snipe' onto that list of 'Does it work?' :)

Since Heel Snipe is not played, there is nothing for Red Lotus to cancel.

Let me rephrase that ... since the committing ability on Heel Snipe is a static effect, and not something that is activatied, Lotus cannot cancel it.

yeah. Its cause the ability is never "played" and thus there is no trigger for Red Lotus to respond to.

*STAMP*

Wait, when was it ruled that Red Lotus hits Ira-Spinta? I always thought it wasn't considered removing cards.

Was ruled this way about 13 or so months ago, when Ira-Spinta was released.
