Does anyone else really hope the lancer isn't pick out of those three? Imho it's never been terribly interesting as a ship design and the Gozanti (possibly small ship support) and Vigil (capital sized attack ship in the iconic Imperial triangle no less) would fill roles similar to the rebel huge ship counterparts.

Whatever we get, or not, I have faith in FFG and their handling of this terrific game!

If it is a Lancer, I sincerely hope they take liberties with its appearance and make it a little less polygonal (like something invented for a late '90s video game, or drawn by a lazy illustrator with a straight-edge), and thus more like something worth paying for rather than just constructing out of a basic papercraft design.

Hm... of most of the ships being proposed (Gozanti, Tartan, Vigil), the Lancer actually seems the least polygonal. Look at its aft and tell me if that's polygonal:

Let's see the Rebels have the transport ship and the tantive 4 when do we get Star destroyers or would that just dwarf the game as it is?

Star Destroyers are too small. Also, how much screen time do they get? Not iconic enough.

Honestly, buying your first handful of ships is stage 1 of your X-wing journey. Stage 2 is posting about Star Destroyers and having all the oldsters point out how dead that horse is and yet watch all the beating that still goes on.

Stage 3 is buying multiple ships for the cards inside...either that or posting at 2:30 AM local time early monday morning.

I've not been reading that thread. It seems like discussing the Lancer fits well in this thread topic. Sure, there are ... one or two... other threads discussing Imperial huge ships. I'm sorry that the proliferation of threads annoys you, but that's no reason to jump all over my post - especially if it's not about me and it is about some thread that I have no involvement in, nor have I accused anyone of spamming.

Actually, I think the issue is that you are posting pure fan speculation and wish listing stuff but coming across like you seriously expect FFG to put something like you are suggesting into a product. If you had put all that y-wing stuff in a separate thread named "developing rules for an ECM y-wing" you wouldn't have gotten so much flak.

Also, I have noticed, you have a very strong tendency to just start throwing sentence fragments out there with no context or explanation. That comes across a lot like a 13 year old kid bouncing up and down in a game store trying to tell and older player he's never met before about his character". That is going to immediately put off any experienced gamer. You need to get in the habit of writing a introductory sentences for your original ideas.

If, instead, you had opened a new thread and started it with

"Hey, wouldn't a modified y-wing designed for electronic warfare be kinda cool and a unique way to differentiate the Y. Maybe give it stats and upgrades like this..."

And THEN launched into your cards you would have come across like a calm adult putting forth an idea for fellow fans to speculate on and maybe help you develop and improve, instead of a kid with impulse control problems who is just talking as fast as he can and doesn't realize nobody cares what he is saying because nobody can understand what he is saying.

And yes, this post probably should have gone in the rebel aces II thread, but I have been avoiding it because it has become a confusing, impossible to follow mess.
