According to the show runners, Rebels is about the formation of the Rebel Alliance. The strict definition of Rebellion Era starting the year of the battle of Yavin is problematic to begin with. It's clear that the Rebellion has been around at least a few years in the original Star Wars (Dantooine for example).

This show is more rebellion era than anything taking place after Endor

It'll be interesting how they develop that backstory. We already have Bail Organa and Mon Mothma as the canon leaders of the movement. I wonder if they'll also introduce Garm Bel Iblis as the third member of that triumvirate, or if he's going to fade away into Legends.

Still, I can see how they could do politics in the backdrop of the Clone Wars characters, given their roles with the Jedi. However, the main characters from Rebels seem unlikely people to be involved with a traitorous conspiracy like the one that Mon Mothma and Bail Organa have cooking up.

Also, will we see Princess Leia? She seems like a natural go-between given her age and her relationship to Bail.

Next up, we've got what I only know as the, TIE Starfighter .

This is old TIE Fighter concept art from some point in time used for The Insuisitor's own personal ship. It's likely a predecessor to the TIE Advanced, so expect some interchangable cards between those two or some kind of cost reduction thing.

I can't get behind this TIE variant, there are too many other better variants.

Let alone the other non-TIE unique stuff that hasn't been tapped.

With Episode 7 around the corner, I wouldn't be surprised if Rebels WASN'T picked up by FFG.

Instead, models from Ep VII building onto the current game, or as a new game with slightly different mechanics (Fantasy and 40K style). Remember, Ep VII is only 18 months away. I believe we will see regular releases to coincide with the both the official SW movies AND the planned spin-offs.

I believe FFG has come close to maximising the current game (in terms of models) and will now focus on tightening it a little with releases like Rebel Aces. Of course, we can expect a large Imp ship or 2 for balance.

I got ETA's all in my collection.

Considering the X-wing shows by Abrahms recently is clearly a mid-XJ Series, I'd love to see a title card for current-gen X-wing.

Seeing as how were now on the S&V side, I'm wondering if ANY ships for Rebs or Imps are due out for a while.

If so, I'm hoping for a TIE Aggressor and TIE Oppressor. I know I'm the only one that thought they were cool in SWG.

Give the Rebs an Arc-170, S&V that Bellbullab-22, and Imps the Eta-2, and I think we're onto something.
