Wave 6: Rebel Yell. (Speculation)

By KCDodger, in X-Wing

The gozanti is only few meters longer than the falcon

We've already disproven that in another thread. The one in Rebels is significantly large, and the canon size.

Hm, I think what constitutes 'proof' with you is a bit easy to come by. But, who knows, FFG may not stick to the Wookieepedia length. I'd be fine with that.

I understand where ALL of the ships are from... I have been at this Star Wars thing for a few years.. trust me.

From what FFG has said so far the rebellion era is the choice era, this new series is prior to that.. possibly the begining, if they wanna go that route great.. I'm just putting out a cautionary statement. That's all.

With the amusing comments about Y wings and Z95s.. since they are from the prequel series.. should we speculate about Naboo fighters too... seriously, the reason those ehips are in the game is because they were in the movies or in the EU books ....

Come on, I can't be the only one who sees this, or are we blinded by desire for new cool ships that we forget the guidelines of the game...

It feels like your desire to rain on the parade is making you overstate your case. It's clear as day that FFG is not dogmatic about the era. Again: E-Wing. And no, I'm not blinded by the desire for new cool ships. I'm not buying the Phantom or the Defender because they just don't sit well with me, even though I'm an Empire player. I'm also not that sure I'm liking the Ghost.

I'm just saying that your timeline argument is flawed.

as it still has some clone war semantics in it..

wut.

I feel this show is trying to bridge the clone wars and the rebellion era.. that's all...

The Gozanti isn't actually that big. It could even be a large base ship.

Especially if you consider that the epic ships are 1/400 scale.

We are sooo getting that Gonzies, and it will be EPIC!

And Han Solo has a wookie co-pilot.

No offense but... Anything else obvious to state?

Hey, we all have our likes and dislikes.. I own all the ships, because in my group, I am the one who provides the game..

But I do like all the ships out so far, except for the HWK.. it left me a little lack lustre...

And I'm not really trying to rain on the parade here.. but these specuation threads sometimes seem a little far fetched..

I don't see it bridging the two eras at all. I'm not seeing any PT influences at all.

Hey.. you said, what.... seemed maybe it wasn't so obvious..

That said, from all the videos I've seem so far, the time frame is a little ambiguous, sure they say 5 years befor 'A New Hope' but it feels ... clone wars.. maybe that is just my take.. but still...

We won't know for some time what FFG will do with this .. if anything...

But I would like a couple Gozanti ships.. I like them and think they look bad @$$

There's a hologram of obi-wan from episode three in an episode, and I'm pretty sure they said a clone or two would show up again at some point. Also I would bet anything some other clone wars characters might show up as well. Hondo or Cad Bane would be possibilities, and of course Ahsoka if she's still alive.

Haha... well if that's the criteria 8f our friendship, we may have to just remain acquaintances... lol

Wookie??!?!?!?!?! I thought he was just a walking carpet!

They will present it in the Midnight Hour and all of the fans will cry "MORE MORE MORE!"

I think it just feels clone wars to you because you associate that art style with the series. And if they say it's 5 years before, it's 5 years before.

Like, if it tastes like pork, smells like pork, and is pork, but Disney says it's beef?

It's beef. That's kinda' just how it is.

All of that sounds quite interesting. I'd also like to see Boba Fett in here somewhere.

See? This guy understands.

And that's fine, I'm perfectly fine with other people digging the Phantom and the Defender. Many have connections to those ships because of the video games. I felt that then I was playing TIE fighter, the Defender was just a bit beyond the pale of hokeyness and over-the-top.

I think of the HWK as being a equivalent of a rusty '70s sedan in a 2000s world. It shouldn't be some sort of top-of-the-line military craft.

Sure, these threads are frequently a little overly enthusiastic. But what's the harm in that? I think a more valid critique is that the target audience for SW:Rebels might be a bit different than the target audience for XMG. But given Lackwit & Joe Boss' reactions, maybe I'm just an old fuddy duddy about that analysis. Maybe SW: Rebels is a great way to bring in new/young blood into the game to give it a firm grounding.

Noooooo he's a fuzz ball, and he like to laugh it up...

ITT: people setting themselves up for massive disappointment.

Is it really speculation if your immediate conclusion is that something is "almost completely certain"?

I could also just be a Star Wars sycophant, there's that too. But who knows.

Yes, yes. I know what they say, and it bastardizes the english language. Either way, I do feel like these four are a certainty.

Well. The Inquisitor's TIE, a little less of one. But do consider the crew cards possible as well. pretty much every SWB character we've seen could be a crew card. Which is neato.

WAVE 6: STAR WARS: REBELS

Next up, we've got what I only know as the, TIE Starfighter .

star-wars-rebels-a8817_inquisitortie2.jp

This is old TIE Fighter concept art from some point in time used for The Insuisitor's own personal ship. It's likely a predecessor to the TIE Advanced, so expect some interchangable cards between those two or some kind of cost reduction thing.

Looks like a bow-tie fighter, for your formal but not too formal battles. Edited by Ravncat

FYI, at Toyfair, they had that listed as the Inquisitor's Advanced.

Thanks for the info. That is extremely interesting to know.

Bill Nye's personal starfighter

Hasbro is calling it the TIE Advanced Prototype. But all the TIE Advanced ships are prototypes.

Does real time slow down in a prototype of a prototype, like Inception?
