Is there a way to search for local game stores that are running a Descent OP event? I've seen a couple of stores around my area hosting X-wing games but no Descent games.

So far I have not found anything. Boardgamegeek has an organized play sub-forum in each of its game pages, but that is all I know of. I too would like something like this. My stores also run a lot of X-wing, Attack Wing, Magic, etc. but not a lot of boardgame stuff.

I am running the Descent Fall game night in Columbus OH, and I would like something to help drum up players. If you do find something please post it to let others know.

I am running it at The Guardtower in September. The exact date and time are yet to be determined. I assume it will be on a weekend. Management is ordering 2 kits. I will post a sign up sheet in the store, and I will post on the BGG organized play sub-forum for Descent, and on The Guardtower facebook page.

Not sure. I have a friend who owns a LGS, and usually gets this stuff. If you want, I can ask as to whether or not he has received his as of yet.

I have organized my own Descent night at The Heros Haven every Wed at 3 pm I set up the game for open gaming first 4 through the door who are interested sit down and because the game is so easy to teach on the fly. The feed back has been good. If you also pick Wed it has more traffic because its comic book release day. I would avoid Fri. That's Magic and they don't like to give up tables. I learned this from the encounters program which I have run for the last 4 years. Put out sign up sheet on the counter . Most stores have there weeks games posted make the commitment and if you run it they will come. I am in the create the demand phase by teaching as many people how to play as I can. The last 4 weeks I have not failed to have a full table.
