How many people on here are planning on going to the Atlanta Regional this Sat. and HAVE NOT RSVPed on their Facebook page or pre-registered. I'm asking because they have 29 "going" on the FB page and they just posted that they're looking at maybe 4 rounds and cut to Top 4 if they get 30 - 35.

Where are they posting the information about Rounds and Top X Cut? I don't see it anywhere, and I have both pre-registered & pre-purchased my spot.

Not sure if an employee or owner posted comments about the event on the North Georgia X-Wing FB page.

When I first called the store a few weeks ago about pre-registering they told me that even if they have more than 64 then it wouldn't be a problem. My concern is that given some of their comments that they aren't expecting more than 35 and they are going to get caught off-guard. Maybe I'm just being too nit-picky or worrisome but when you're driving 4 1/2 hours to play in a premier event you kinda hope that everything will be run smooth. Especially when you hear of the awesome events such as the Plano, TX one, etc.

Did you preorder? There are 26 spots left when I last checked about 30ish mins ago, My friends and I did to make sure it wasn't a wasted trip down. I don't envy your drive either, three of us are meeting in Asheville and then driving an hour down to Sylva NC where we'll meet the last member of the bunch and he will drive us the rest of the way, all told roughly three hours or so, still a long day awaits but I'm still stupid excited for it.

I walked into the store about a week ago and asked the clerks if I needed to preregister. They said I did not and that there is plenty of room for everyone who shows up to play. I live close enough to not worry about a long drive now but I know I am excited about seeing my TN buddies who said they were going.

No prob. Could be wrong but that's what I've heard from people who frequent that store.

I have confirmation from the store that Registration is at 11. "Expecting" to start with round 1 @ Noon.

I am expecting that more than the 30 people they expect will be there, and it will be at least 5 rounds of Swiss. There was a cut to Top 4 mentioned, but that is when they were expecting about 30 people. We will have to see.

I find it hilarious that they are estimating 30.

Should pan out to 5 rounds and cut to top 8. If there is 30+ shouldn't be a reason not to.

That does seem like a low ball of a number doesn't it.

Well they only had about 25 people going on their FB event, so they estimated 30 or so, but that was about 2-3 days ago. Now they have 30 or 31 on FB, and no official count from the store about how many have pre-registered.

So probably not 50+, but definitely enough for 5 rounds of swiss.

It should be 6 swiss rounds with 50-70. And yes I really think there will be that many. Not that many people actually sign up on the FB event. Again, the netrunner regional there had 52, and only have like 12 people click the thing on facebook.

I know the player that won the store championship there. If I remember correctly they only had 9 players for that event.

winner gets trophy and 1st round bye to nationals
