So I'm hosting my own xwing tourney coming up and wanted to have a trophy for the winner. I was thinking of having a metal xwing about 12" long/wide (roughly) on the top of maybe some wood with a brass plaque which will have the name of the winner. The winner will then get to keep this trophy until the next event and the new winner will get their name on it and etc. I did a search and could not find an xwing that seemed appropriate. There are model kits but I really don't want to have to put one together. So does anyone know of a place I can find one or perhaps has one they would like to donate and I'll pay for shipping. I'm open to suggestions thanks

Edit: does not need to be metal I can spray paint gold or whatever over a plastic one as well

A metal x wing, depending on the size, will cost you a pretty penny.

If your looking for one about 12" long, I would say that should cost you a couple hundred bucks, if not near a thousand. That is, if its a limited run item and not made for production and could be solid metal.

Plastic kits might be the way to go, but a decent sized one i think costs in the range of 80-100 bucks.

So far 12 have confirmed so maybe 16. I actually bought one of each wave 4 ships for prizes sort of an assault on imdaar 2 haha. Everyone puts in 5 dollars so if you win you get a ship for 60 percent off. Should be fun I'm looking forward to it.

I wouldn't charge much to build either of them, really. They're both pre-decorated in silver and gold respetively and are not very expensive (no serious modeler wanted them because they look garish as a model, so they're available cheaply on the secondary market. Last I checked, stores even had problems selling the bottom one at <$5 apiece). This means that they will be built quickly, and I don't particularly have to be careful with them, other than touchups.

They're smaller than you want, but in my opinion they're the perfect size for a trophy at 10". In addition, there are these if you want a prize for Best Imperial Player:

sorry I have nothing to really add to the topic, I was just curious where those silver chromed TIE and X-Wing come from. I've never seen those kits but I do have both those gold chromed ones.
