Using the Sliding Scale I don't think that the Nebulon-B is out of the Question. I do think it is the largest ship we should ever see.
As for Stats:
Fore:
Main Attack: Tractor Beam – Attack: 2 (Range: 1-3) Pull target 1 speed towards attacker
Hull: 16
Shields: 10
3 Weapon Harpoints
2 Cargo
2 Team
Aft:
Generator: 7
Hull: 16
Shields: 6
3 Weapon Harpoints
2 Crew
1 Team
1 Cargo

Those don't even make sense. Quad and Dual Turbolasers the same? With no damage buff over the singles, but can store an extra energy? Useless...The Dual Laser Cannons cannot use their special ability because they can only store 1 energy. The single is pointless. 1 energy for a 2 dice attack?Lastly your mention of upgrade suggestions reminded me of this.
It isn't finished but the lack of clear descriptions on some ships weapons encouraged me to start it.
You may note that he said NOT FINISHED
He's clueless, just ignore him, he's only trolling here
because I disagree with this "perfect" analysis in another thread.
It takes a pathetically & desperately spiteful person to ignore the artwork
was the part that was started and the play mechanics have yet to be worked out.
Actually I couldn't care less about you disagreeing with me else where. I was only pointing out that posting artwork without having thought about mechanics first is pointless. Artwork should be the last thing you do once you have play tested the concept.
If you think that is trolling then go ahead and think that. No skin off my nose.

Dreadnought needs more firepower and a lot of energy recharge.
I still want to see a Thrawn crew card. Though it would be hard to make one that was good and fitting.
A Mel Miniatures custom.
I like this idea. But would probably make him a discard.
So:
* Grand Admiral Thrawn (6 points)
Imperial Only. Huge ship only.
At the beginning of the combat phase discard this card. All friendly ships at range 1-3 with at least 1 stress token may perform 1 action listed on their action bar.
or:
* Grand Admiral Thrawn (6 points)
Imperial Only. Huge ship only.
At the beginning of the combat phase discard this card. All friendly ships at range 1-3 may perform 1 action listed on their action bar. Add 1 stress token to each ship that performs an action in this way.
This covers all ships better and I think is more in keeping with his tactical skills.
A final option I quite like is:
* Grand Admiral Thrawn (6 points)
Imperial Only. Huge ship only.
At the beginning of the combat phase discard this card. Select any number of friendly ships at range 1-3 with at least 1 stress token. Those ships may now perform 1 action listed on their action bar. Then remove 1 stress token from each selected ship.
To be fair, I don't care what it looks like I'm impressed with the punch it packs for it's size,
but I'm going with the best images I have been able to find on the internet.
I imagine that a really good miniature, with the right paint job and wash, it would look as deadly as it is.
If you acturally have a CR90 then take an afternoon to playtest it and you'll see what I mean.
Look, I can see you're clearly proud of your experimental rule set for the DP20 - you're posting them in pretty much EVERY Epic scale ship thread - but I'm really not interested in it. REALLY not interested in it. I'd rather discuss rules for the Nebulon B Frigate in this topic - after all, this topic is about theoretical rules for the Dreadnaught & Nebulon B Frigate, NOT the DP20.

I like the idea of increasing firepower. Discard: All ships at range 1 without a stress token receive a stress token to increase firepower by 1.
Maximum firepower for an early tactical advantage.
On the largest part of the ship, where for example the officer's quarters are, you have no crew? But using the sliding scale, that 16/16 may be better. But three more hardpoints than the CR90 doesn't match the 4 to 1 ratio.
The Bridge is on the back half, So I figured that is where the crew would end up.
I'm curious enough about the game stats for the Dreadnought
to work them out using the same formulation as the Nebulon B,
a little bit later,
but...
Okay I have to be straight with you on this one,
I wouldn't use a ship that is supposed to be twice the length of the Nebulon B.
Even if all the references say it has less hull, I can see for myself that's a mistake.
I have a couple of suggestions for you and, unless you are really stuck on the Dreadnought,
you may actually be surprised at fact that there are triangle shaped Imperial ships
that would suit your needs better, both are supposed to be 400 meters.
The campaign takes place right before the Battle of Yavin so the Ardent is out, but I did forget about the Imperial Frigate. I'll look into it. Also, where did you get the comparison sheet or did you make that on your own?

I have a campaign starting with a few friends soon but I am still trying to figure out what stats to give to both a Dreadnaught and a Nebulon-B Frigate.
I keep forgetting to ask you, how are you representing these on the play area,
are they just going to be flat cardboard cutouts or
are you going to use large bases, maybe cardboard base cards?
Cardboard, for now at least.

Edited by gabe69velasquezAwesome Nebulon build, bulldoguk! Looks great alongside the Corvette and Transport...
We played our first game of the campaign and the group is on board
. Luckily for me it will be a few missions before one with a capital ship, which gives me time to iron out the details. I'm planning on using a cardboard cutout and taping it to a couple of large bases.
We also posted a pic from the game on our facebook page ( http://is.gd/0B3FRF ). Pics and video of the games will be posted on the page when we start recording.
PS: I just realized I haven't talked about the podcast/site before. It's called "Nerds and Beer" and we talk about video games, comics, movies, etc. over a few beers. One of our spin-offs is called "NAB Play" where we play tabletop, card, board, and RPG (mostly D&D) games. Check us out if you're interested.

By large bases are you thinking Large ship bases or the Huge ship bases, because the later put the ships higher up, and I would recommend those for the same reasons they chose to do them that way.
Huge bases, I mistyped.
