Co-Op Forgotten Souls Now Available !!!

By any2cards, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

I would love to buy this, but its 14$ for the coop expansion... and 21$ for shipping to the EU and then the EU will add another 20% in taxes and probably another 30-50% in fees :(

Not going to pay 50$ for this, its too bad this will never get to europe since its a print on demand.

Finally!

I chuckled a bit, I was looking at the ebay listing and the game night box sold for 200 dollars straight and then 96 dollars.

15 dollars seems much more reasonable. ;) Order sent!

Though I really did want those clear blue dice... sigh...

It is quite expensive... honestly, I feel like they'll announce something co-op related during Gen Con and I'm nervous about buying this if that's the case. I'm also just not sure how replayable the co-op will be with only four monsters per set. Oh, who am I kidding, I'll probably buy it (after I get the latest H&M set).

ORDERED.

I have been really waiting for this!

Any ProTips on quality printing the PDF? (I don't have a decent printer at home.)

Since the rules and the quest needs to be printed by yourself, I think it's really way overpriced.

I won't buy 14$ for only a bunch of cards

some online shops carry POD-stuff as well, might be cheaper to get one of those (be fast tho, their stock is usually limited ;) ) - they sometimes carry a translated version from their local publisher too.

for example the deathwing pack for death angel is $11.50 without shipping and tax from ffg, most expensive I've seen in germany is 13,50€.

did they raise the shipping? got some pod stuff few years back and don't remember it that expensive - can't find anything regarding shipping anywhere in the shop.

if when a box comes out it will probably have it's own campaign/cards/etc, redundant products wouldn't make much sense.

as for replayability I'm more worried by the low number of cards, skipping through the rules it only has 16 different rooms for example. sure the order is random, but still...

would also like to see some variety for monsters in the future (if you got the expansions etc..)

probably getting it as well, co-op descent is too great to pass up

copyshop or sth is probably the most hasslefree solution (might even be able to laminate it if you want)

The thing that bothers me about this is the fact that FFG is charging shipping fees that virtually equal the cost of the product. Son instead of it being $14.95, it really is $25-$35.

It will be interesting to see if a place such as CSI (which currently lists the product as unavailable) actually gets it and sells it, and it ends up being cheaper when shipped.

I can't log in to the FFG store for some reason (do you need to make a separate account just for the store?) so I can't see how FFG calculates shipping myself.

However, I checked the website for the US Postal Service and it looks like the smallest box that might fit this POD is around $12. I don't imagine that any courier service would be cheaper than USPS in this regard. I'd be willing to wager FFG is just covering their costs as far as shipping goes - it's not like they have their own delivery service.

Steve-O ... I had the same problem getting into the on-line store. It turns out that the login name/password that it uses was the VERY first password that I had ever setup on this site ... NOT my current password (I change monthly). It is almost as if there are separate accounts ... one for access to the forums, etc. and one for the store.

As far as shipping costs, you seem to be correct. It is simply an unfortunate thing that the cost of shipping equals the cost of the product.

I am hoping that CSI or someone else will sell this, as I deal with multiple on-line sites that provide me free shipping due to my purchase activity.

I agree about the shipping. I'm hoping a seller on Amazon gets it with prime shipping for around $15ish or a little more/less. That's more doable for me.

Does anyone know if this is the Co-Op adventure that will be used at the GenCon Co-Op events in a couple weeks?

I could be wrong, but I thought it was the newly announced co-op that will be used at GenCon.

Hmmmmm...... I am not sure what other announced co-op you are referring to but I am not always up to date on stuff. Could you point me somewhere please. Thanks.

No, I believe the GenCon one will be 'Nature's Ire', recently announced.

Thanks for the information both of you. It helps in my decision if I need to pick this up or not.

Steve-O,

Yes, you do need to make a separate account for the store.

$22 to ship to Australia, the shipping options also says:

" If choosing USPS First-Class International please be aware that there is no tracking information. Fantasy Flight Games cannot be held responsible for any lost or misplaced items once shipped. In an event of a lost USPS First Class International shipment, shipping charges will not be refunded. "

To get tracking will cost me an extra: $23

I want it.. but god **** >_<

Here you Bento... The postage price is ridiculous seeing that I can get it from US Games Store for a cheaper price than FFG directly. $30+ for a few cards is really steep.

Funagain games are selling it for $12, with $8.95 (US dollars) potage and handling. It will take over a month to get it however.

I might have to wait until the stores here (Australia) get it in stock.

Why not put it out on print on demand?

or put things in a table (where you roll 2 red dice or grey and black shield dice)?

One could easily make tables for: perils, exploration, and monster activation.

Then you could even have more monsters available.

Anyone working on home brew Encounters or converting vault quest to co-op?

Sold !

Don't care too much how long it takes, if a local store gets it sooner i will just sell the one that arrives.

Thanks for the heads up.

I ordered this directly from FFG the other day, I can't wait to get my hands on it. While 15 dollars plus 9 shipping did seem a little steep due to what you get material wise, I was more than happy to pay it. The reason for this is simple, for 23 dollars I will get several hours of enjoyment. I could spend the same amount on a couple of movie tickets or something of that nature and might not even like the movie. With this, I get several hours of fun with a great group of friends and it can be enjoyed over and over through replayabilty. For me, it was a no-brainer. Then again, I own everything out for 2nd edition...
