If FFG made more movable parts of their ships

By Crabbok, in X-Wing

Probably the one thing that really should of been rotatable is the wings on the Firespray.

I don't see why. The firespray's wings turn up when it's landing. Doesn't make a whole lotta sense for it to be in landing mode in here.

Preemptive strike on "but the lambda is the same way!"

The Shuttle is huge, and as many have said before, it gets in the way of other ships. having its wings fold up keeps it from bumping other models.

Not a fan of moving parts on my game models. Tends to make things more fragile and prone to breakage.

Storing my Falcon is already a pain because of the dish.

Just let it go into the Death Star, problem solve!

a close one for sure...

I just don't see the point.

Has anyone flown the mission "I'm going to the store dear, would you like anything" or "Escorting Miss Daisy"? NO! Because every mission in this game is about either blowing stuff up or not getting blown up .. regardless, exploding stuff in a vacuum is the common theme here.

That doesn't happen with s-foils closed, landing gear down or Chewie's chess board lighting up. Therefore .. pointless.

I've seen some nice modifications here; articulated X-Wings S-foils, lit up Falcons and Shuttles, and rotating turrets on HWKs and Y-Wings, but nothing comes close to this thing.

OK, it's not from Star Wars, but if you are going to snazz it up a bit, this is how you do it.

WOW.... that was awesome..

Now.. how do I do a Firespray that shoots missiles and drops a bomb.. with rotating main guns and a pop out heavy laser.. lol.. with engine glow and a light up cockpit.. hmmmmm..

I'm happy as is. I'd likely end up with a bunch of superglued parts if more stuff was moveable.

On bigger models sure but on the scale we have it would probably lead to more breakage.

Remember that a pieces of game, esculptures not toys, so it didn't need to to be movile, greettings.

If FFG made more movable parts for their ships there would be more fiddling.... more fiddling can lead to blindness...
