My X-Men/Star Wars campaign.

Starting a new campaign on Wednesday and I have a few different ideas. I thought of this one a few hours ago and as silly as it sounds at first, I can't seem to get it out of my head.

Each PC is a young (16 to 20)Force Sensitive Exile or Emergent. They are approached by a Mon Cal, missing his legs, in a suspensor chair. "Come with me and I can teach you to use your gifts for the benefit of all."

I'd give each character this universal spec for free. Prof. Cal. and his students travel the galaxy, in his ship, having adventures as they are trained in the ways of the force.

This would be a rich campaign. The Prof. is rich. In fact he probably has a silhouette 5 ship, speeders, swoops and whatever else he needs. He also has an estate come to think of it. Droid staff.

They would obviously take a tour of all the Jedi historical sites they could. They would be chased by an inquisitor...with his own star destroyer.

As long as you have Chewbacca's head on a robot spider body all is well.

That sounds like a most amusing campaign. It would benefit from more Force powers than the five we have, but still could be interesting if you made each player specialise in one Force power primarily. Then they'd be more like a superpowered team each bringing special powers to the group.

I thought about giving them each the FS spec and their first power for free. I could do that with the caveat that they each pick a different force power. That'd give us around two to three sessions of each of them being unique until they bought into another power.

Keep in mind Force & Destiny beta will be out in mere weeks ... there might be more Force powers in that :)

The beta is out in only a few weeks?!

I'm getting overwhelmed with awesome.

If last year is an example, it might not be available in shops til September, but I imagine after GenCon people will be posting about what's in it :)
