This is a genuine question, not just a nitpick:
When people write "Hans" Solo, instead of his proper name, Han, what are they doing?
Is it:
-A Typo
-A playful nickname,
or,
-A genuine regional/foreign variation in the name, like "Biggles" in the UK.
Of course, it could be all three of these depending on the writer, but I have seen it enough recently in posts to wonder if it's not intentional, because that's the name he is given in certain languages.
