Disagree on a few of these.

I'm not trying to squash the conversation, but I think this is the problem with crowdsourcing a list like this: there's a lot of room for disagreement, which means the thread is either diluted into uselessness or splinters into a dozen arguments about whether PTL is a good idea for Echo or when you should run Opportunist on Wedge.

I recommend looking at the top 8 lists from regionals and nationals and compiling lists of all of the upgrades that appear for a certain ship. This thread really isn't about saying "this combination is better than that one" but rather "many of these upgrades have appeared on this ship in one successful list or another" so that new players can more easily identify viable options.

Offering analysis is fine, since it may not be obvious why some upgrades work well on certain ships. But I think most new players just need a little help separating the wheat from the chaff and the reasons will become clear once that's done for them.

Maybe I missed it, but I want to request a list for Soontir Fel, Han Solo and Chewbacca.

Chewbacca

Predator (re-roll one dice is great every shot)

Luke Skywalker (Gunner plus a change of a focus. Goes great with Predator)

MF Title (evade every turn)

C-3PO (basically a second free evade per turn)

This is one mean ship...

Hobbie

R3-A2

Flechette Torpedos

R2-D6 + Push the Limit

Tarn Mison

R7 Astromech

Vessery + HLC + VI + sometimes-Engine Upgrade

4 shots at all ranges, PS 8 to shoot earlier and move later, EU if you want more agility defensively and the points to spare

Shuttle + ST 321 + Weapons Engineer + Anti-Pursuit Lasers + Darth Vader (if you have the points to spare)

ST321 to TL anybody, Weaps Eng for 2 TL, APL and Vader for defense

Then use these two TOGETHER! :)

Han Solo:

  • Marksmanship + Gunner (don't use Marksmanship without Gunner)
  • Swarm Tactics
  • C-3PO
  • Chewbacca
  • Gunner
  • Luke Skywalker
  • Millennium Falcon

Chewbacca:

  • Draw Their Fire
  • Determination
  • Expert Handling
  • Predator
  • Opportunist
  • C-3PO
  • Gunner
  • Luke Skywalker
  • Millennium Falcon

Bandit Pilot (12pt)

- Munition failsafe (1pt)

- Cluster missiles (4)

This is for us bad dice rollers. Best scenario - You hit on first attack, miss on second, then you get to use the missile again.

Of course, the two attacks might just down the ship all together. :D

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it doesn't work like that. Hitting with one attack is still hitting.
