Storage Solutions

Let's see some pics of the systainer.

Just be careful as the plano 1374 no longer comes with the 3750 boxes, just the 3700. The 3700 won't fit the large ships or cards. At least from Amazon and anywhere else I've seen it recently.

If I had a pic (which I know anyone here could find if they cared enough) , you'd see that this is not completely true. If you mean "large", as in Slave I, Falcon, and Shuttle, I as a new plano 1374 owner can confirm they DO come with 3700's but all 4 of them have a big compartment towards the front that is double wide, which more than accommodates 4+ falcons. presumably the Slave I will lay right in there fine too. I've seen it work, but my one concern MIGHT be the shuttles, and Wave 5 larges shouldn't be a problem at all.

That Falcon looks great.

If you like to have your stands to be on with the miniatures (a few exceptions to this), and also have them be displayed proudly. This is for you. I helps me with quicker assembly with the miniatures and gives less of a risk of breaking the pegs. You can also buy more then 1 of theses and they will stack together.

I've been using the tall Plano that most others have. I've been meaning to ask my server team to save any foam that comes in from new server orders, but I've been a bit lazy. I'm pretty happy with the Plano system otherwise. I'll admit that if they get more capital ships, I'll have to start using my Sabol bag for them. I've been avoiding buying more foam as I have just been using the Plano stuff I bought for Warhammer. It'll cost me another $50 to get new foam for Star Wars for the Sabol bag.

I also use a plano 1374. I use some foam inserts that I cut out myself from some packing foam to protect my ships in the plastic trays, instead of letting them rattle around loose. So far, no damage whatsoever to any pieces, including those super-fragile laser cannons on the Xs and Bs. I do lose a little bit of space with the foam, but I have a decent-sized collection and haven't run out of space so far.

I've been 3D printing custom storage boxes that I can drop into my Husky case. I'm also considering doing some custom tray inserts for various storage boxes, like the Plano case I originally used.

My CR-90 fits in after a slight trimming of the plastic it came in.

With Scum, though, I've had to redo the top. The CR-90 is now on the book shelf while I put most of the large ships in tuck boxes. I need my 2 card boxes to store all my pilot and upgrade cards.

Plano 732. Fits my 35 ships* with room to spare.

*only ships I currently don't own are the Lambda and both Transport and Corvette.

I'd be worried the 732 doesn't fit my 47 ships, which include something like 7 big based ships.

Thats a very nice idea! Do they come with a lid? You get super duper bonus points if you share the models of course :)

Does anyone have a storage solution idea for someone who doesn't own 12 falcons and 47 tie interceptors? Something smaller than the 1374?
