Don't really like the way liking kittens is portrayed as a particularly female thing here. As a man am I supposed to either just get angry when I get a cardboard tube full of kittens and either immediately call my lawyer or, in a testosterone rage start smashing and flinging kittens everywhere? Attempt to salvage my brief snack-break by skinning and cooking one of them?

Still, I was really hoping the ad would go a little darker, with one of them starting to pick up a kitten. Or stroking the cookies. How great would it be if they were just holding the cookies and playing with them like kittens while someone in the background looks disturbed? McVitties has clearly failed to offer important social commentary as is their responsibility as a company trying to sell cookies. Especially since, if these digestives are anything like the few I've tried, it would take some sort of mental illness to want to eat them. Truly a betrayal of their customer base.
