These new advertisement links

By Crabbok, in X-Wing

They are awful. seriously going to consider using a new forum now. I'd rather have a full blown ad on the side than random orange hyperlinks creating popups all over every page.

EDIT - Looks like if you change your font to italics or something similar, it won't be able to turn your post into a page full over hyperlinks.

? I haven't seen that- I'm thinking you've got a malware issue.

What he said.

I'm not seeing what you mean... But I'm on Google Chrome with Adblocker, prevents most of that kind of thing.

Crabbok, it sounds like a virus I once ran into. Try googeling it. There is some program installed on your computer that can do this. You need to remove it.

Yeah dude you've downloaded something dodgy and that's what's giving you the pop ups, run a scan now.

Yeah I made the mistake of letting my 2 year old use my computer today. looks like this is the result.

Sorry guys my bad

Ad blocker is the best thing to happen since the Coke.

Turns out it wasn't a virus, was just an extension in Chrome that my son must have accidentally allowed. Easily fixed. sorry for the confusion

Does this mean we can all start being really random with our posts in this thread?

After reading the topic I thought you meant everyone advertising YouTube channel's

That Extension is part of some malware or adware. I would check the programs installed as well. I found a piece of software matching the name of a Firefox plugin or Crome Extension on my machine when it happened to me.

You should probably uninstall the software as well if this is also the case on your computer. It never hurts to be thorough when removing virus and malware.

Grab this program called " Malware Bytes ", its what the University of Michigan uses.

I had Titanium, and when I downloaded Malware Bytes I found that it spotted and quarantined over 50 types that my old anti-virus software had missed!

It updates a lot, about once a day, and when you run scans, they can take up to ten minutes.

But it pretty much finds everything, and quarantines it all for you, and asks if you want to remove them or not. Get the free version, its nice.

Dear Sir or Madam

I'm writing to complain today for a very odd reason.

I purchased some of your normally very tasty chocolate biscuits.

To my surprise when the wife and I sat down to eat them all that was in the packet was a few kittens.

The dog greatly enjoyed them but they were a bit hairy for our liking.

Yours sincerely

S.Man

Well if they'd shave down below they would not have that problem.
