Using Vader

I would like to smack the guy that said: "You know we have given Vader two actions... so to be fair we should give his TIE Advanced the same attack value as a basic TIE Fighter."

Vader+outmaneuver+Engine Upgrade

Howl+hull(stealth?)

Vader split wide so he can flank as the opponent can't ignore the swarm. How would you pair him with a phantom, a three ship list? That seems super fragile, even more so than ptl interceptors.

The problem with the profile is how expensive it is for the damage output it can deliver or tank in my opinion. Yes Vader kind act kind off like an interceptor, but for 33 points against his 33, you can get soontir fel completely tooled up for the task, but with 3 attack instead of 2.

When proton rockets hit you'll have 4 pts left. Not sure where to put those or who to upgrade.

It's the basic question, how much do you trust your green dice. If you are flying Fel, then you absolutely trust them. With Vader, you don't. And can often survive a bad hit.

Engine Upgrade on Vader, Hull Upgrade on Turr or Upgrade the Alpha to a Royal Guard. That would be my choices. I would go with Engine Upgrade to help close in to range 1 for the Rocket.

Vader is one of the few pilots Imperials pilot with a 9 skill rating, an elite pilot upgrade and tanking abilities. He seems destined for two things:

- Passing that pilot skill along (swarm tactics or decoy)

- Getting the early target lock (while not getting locked in return) during the initial encounter in order to throw a missile.

Vader with Proton Rockets, Engine Upgrade, Outmaneuver. No action economy issue or super situational stuff. It all just synergizes.

Those are the choices... Of them I think I like hull/sheild for Turr. I like Vader but would probably rather see Turr make it to end game unless it's vs an elite PS8+.

Also really tempted to pull the alpha down to an academy and upgrade stabber to a PTL royal with those last points.
