96 points
I with I had another A-Wing or a z-95, but I didn't, so I slapped Stealth device, Test pilot, and Outmanuver on each of the A-wings to bring the points up to 96.
I faced dual bomber, dual academy, and Vader list, with each bomber having a missile of some sorts and a seismic charge, and Vader had squad leader.
He split up all his forces, which really hammered Etahn's effect, but for the first two turns of shooting, it was great. Got four crits on a bomber (counsel fire and stunned pilot killed it as it kept bumping and loosing actions thanks to space traffic jams
) in the first turn, and then procided to evenly crit everything else, and then mid-game happened.
No ships died, as only etahn had the firepower, and my opponent was lucky. The a-wings pushed the limit A LOT, either evading and boosting or focusing and evading or focusing and target locking.
One was hit by bombs twice, but after looking at the rules, bombs aren't secondary weapons, and we decided that it didn't lose stealth device.
Etahn and R2-D2 tanked about 10 or more hits through shields or evade tokens, barrel-rolling, ptl to do something else, and then preforming a green 2 bank to clear a stress and regen a shield felt... broken. But then again at 46 points, it should pull its weight.
After 4 rounds of scattered manuvering, I finally regrouped through the asteroid field and blew apart two tie fighters in one round of shooting (Everyone focused and target locked) and twice i got hit hit crit, with Etahn changing one of the hits to a crit, and them dodging the normal hit, suffering dual crits. It was brutal, and amazing.
Need some bomb clarification (do they remove stealth device, and when do they detonate, after EVERYONE moves, or after the bomber moves?) and a third a-wing, but having a three ship list with 3-4 evade dice each, an evade action, and PtL was SUPER fun.
Finished with him having Vader with no shields, and a Bomber with 3 crits and a hit left, while I had 2 a wings with no shields, and an E-wing, who along with R2-D2 and that evade action, tanked WAY more damage than it should have. I took the evade as a temporary shield, and if shots got through they hit the evade first, and the shields second, which helped a lot, allowed R2-D2 to regen shields without taking any hull damage. (i lost all 4 shields like 3rd-4th turn and spent 5 turns trying to top back off, which worked.
Deffinatly going to run Etahn again, but thinking of using X-wings next time, instead of a's.
