So can someone clarify this card what that " Forced" thing do?

I have understanded that after i defend against enemy/enemies with my watcher, i have to discard card from my hand before attack/attacks resolve, but not shure, so please someone help me again

Card says "after" he defends you discard a card from you hand or discard him. It happens after the attack resolves. So, if he defends twice you will discard at least 1 card, if you want to keep him in play you would have had to discarded 2 cards.
