Greetings all. My first day here. I've played pretty much every previous Star Wars RPG and I'm eager to get started anew. As I look to adapting some of my old characters to the new system, the first thing that comes up is, no Wroonians yet. Has anyone homebrewed my favorite overly excitable blue skinned folk yet?
Wroonian species?
Looks like a blue human, what's their gimmick, past been blue?
Anyway i'd use human, unless there was a reason not to.
Edited by Plan bUnless they've really got something to set them apart from Humans, then I'd say just use the Human species write-up.
I took a quick glance at Wookieepedia, and there's really not anything to suggest they'd be anything more than blue-skinned, yellow-irised humanoids.
I thought Pantorans and Wroonians were similar, or one was an offshoot of the other? In that case, I'd use the human writeup, but give them the ability to handle cold temperatures with far less gear (maybe the opposite of the Twi-lek ability).
Personally, I would do human for stats-etc...
To flavor them: As they are known for being story tellers (scalds, bards, etc...) I would invent an orator talent and give it to them.... Something to the effect of depending on the nature of the story they tell, and to whom they are telling it, they can add a blue dice to any social roll. So if they are telling a story to inspire- they add the blue to leadership. If the story is about flirting/ or fluffing the person- add a blue to charm. If it's to impart a warning- add it to coerce. etc... On the same note: if the player really provided a story and told it (role playing), I'd give them at least a second blue, but more likely a floating rank in addition, for that individual instance. Thus inspiring more of the same.
Thus I would remove the two free skill ranks from the human write up, and perhaps 5 build points due to the versatility of this talent. In truth I wouldn't touch the build points, but I think it would balance better.
This would put the "near" in near human, and keep them generally balanced.
Edited by ShamrockI always thought of Wroonians as boasting, Blue Correllians. They love to tell stories and they love to travel both in space and on the sea. I might consider using the base human but giving them a free rank in pilot (space) and pilot (planetary) in place of the two free skills a human usually gets to choose.

Or you could just use the Corellian Humans from Suns of Fortune, which offer a free rank in either Piloting skill, but allow the PC to have up to three ranks in said skill.
