Ethan and Marksmanship

By Zoccola, in X-Wing

Is it overkill? I want to try this out next time I play:

Ethan + Marksmanship

Ten Nunb + Marksmanship

Luke + Marksmanship

No formation flying is a bonus. 3 ships scares me, but Ten is pretty tough.

Nice avatar. ;)

One of the first lists I played against was Etahn and Ten Nunb. It's a pretty brutal pairing. I think Luke's the weak link of the build, though, since he's forcing the other two into no upgrades. The list I faced had Biggs there to protect Etahn and Ten while they snunk in enough crits to make the return fire manageable. If you turn Luke into Biggs, you have enough points to give Biggs stealth and R2-F2, or whatever your preferred survivability build is.

Alternatively, dropping Luke to a Red with R2-D6 and marksmanship still gives you 4 points to play with sustainability options.

Or tarn instead of red...

That leaves room for FCS on the E and the B!

But if you take marksman, then you can't take PtL!

And that's a crime! (Well, maybe not, but having advanced sensors + engine upgrade + a barrel roll action + followrd by your green manuver to forget about the stress and restore shields if you have r2d2 is awesome. Just finished a game with a 46 point ethan and had a blast.)

They are all pretty tough for small ships. So much Crit, could be awesome against tie heavy squads.

In ships that only fire once, I don't like much the marksmanship, because all the ships have the Focus, and it serves to defend and to attack, so I prefer to use this, greettings
