Consider This a Warning

I fel this is pointed at me. Whats wrong with my grammer.

:)

Ugh, if I were to care about people's forum posts, I'd have to kill myself. Fortunately, most of you here do better than most of my college students.

I fear for our future, if that is true.

I am usually posting on my phone, and my spell checker does not speak x-wing. To put it another way; "it's not my fault, they told me they fixed it! "

In the original post, change tag to tagged as well. Thank you, that is all.

Please remember, however, that X-Wing has global community of players, and many valued participants on these boards are not native speakers of English. Additionally, we're not perfect.

However, I do tell my own students that using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation is an important sign of respect, especially on the text-reliant Internet. Just as we use our tone of voice to indicate our regard for our audiences in conversation, we have to be mindful of how we write does that as well.

Yup - you should.

Frankly, many of the kids who are in college have no preparation for it. I honestly have no idea what they do for that long decade of primary and secondary education. I was a pretty lousy student in secondary school in the Netherlands, and I was way ahead of the ballgame when I first attended college in the United States.

I am certainly not saying that Dutch kids are smarter, but the American primary/secondary system is godawful. (I will say that American higher education is really good; better than Dutch higher education. The difference is that American higher ed is extremely expensive, and most American high school kids are not prepared for it - and so many of them waste their money by attending and failing.)

Okay... enough social commentary. Back to X-Wing.

We are all guilty of misspellings and poor grammar. However just out of fun if you screw up the English language really bad, you will get quoted and tag with this post:

Lol, this song is great!

Come on! Some of us speak superior languages like Russian or Italian. The english translations of other writen works is diced up like stew meat.

Take in mind this is in no way a attack on the people who speak english or engrish. =)

You wrote EX-Wing wrong ; p

It appears that Weird Al is branching out and writing lyrics for TV show theme songs. Conan O'Brien asked him to write some for the theme song of his late night show. Unfortunately he didn't get what he was expecting......

Definitely better than blurred lines

That's damning with faint praise; the list of things better than Blurred Lines includes the noise my cat makes when I accidentally step on his tail.

It is difficult to top Emily Ratajkowski from the Blurred Lines video. I will watch it with the sound off.

TI's goofy dancing is the best thing about that video
