GenCon is fast approaching. FFG will release more information at that time as they usually do. FFG will usually clam up about a month before the event. It is not like it has been a bad business model for them or anything.

This is the one that has been talking about the new information the most for the past 3 days.

I have also seen links to these threads posted in 2 other topics the last couple days.

I'm actually hoping for more than further elaboration on Rebel Aces or Wave V from GenCon. Even seeing the actual models of these ships at the event would be a bit of a let down. I kind of expect an early release of at least one of these expansions at GenCon anyways. GenCon should have a big new announcement that makes a splash. Something the magnitude of Imperial huge ships, new factions, different eras or even spoilers from the next movie. Until then, I will take solace in the fact that I'm still exploring wave three stuff and have barely scratched the surface of wave four. It's hardly like the dry spell of news is threatening to make me lose interest in this wonderful game and move on to something different.

in breaking news FFG corrected themselves as the decimator is actually called decimeter. Misleading graphics let to wrong assumptions on the content of wave 5 and the news writer couldn't be stopped from speculating...

... In correction they put up the intended news: wave 5 consists of new templates measured in decimeter ... stay tuned for wave 6 where the unit scale is shifted again and everything is measured in au, bring out the calculators and keep your exponents in line.

... and all cards and accompanying rules will henceforth be written in dactylic hexameter.

Exaggerate much? Threads get bumped down easily in one day, the op shouldn't be expected to check every thread to make sure he's not posting something that's already been posted. He's excited for the game let him post. It's not like there isn't 50 other posts right now about something different. By commenting on a thread you dislike so much you are just increasing it's visibility on the forum. It's a forum a place for people to discuss things they are interested in. If your not interested then there is a cool little button on this thing called a mouse that lets you click on another topic that you might be more interested in.

I heard that the other wave 5 ships are Star Destroyer and Death Star that will be released early at Gencon, I have also heard that the Death Star is Auto win if your opponent doesn't equip any Proton Torpedoes/Concussion Missiles

That said I imagine there might be a B-wing spoiler soon but Wave 5 Spoilers will probably wait until after Gencon, just a personal hunch

I love nerd culture we moan if things come too often and we moan if there's space between releases.

I'm still enjoying Wave 4. Take your time FFG, there will be lots of time to enjoy Wave 5... later.

I can understand the impatience. There's three ways to enjoy this game: play it, build squads you can run, and theory craft for squads you can't run yet. Now wave 4 is firmly in the first two categories, but wave 5 occupies the theory crafting. Only trouble is that you can only do parts one and two so much, eventually you're left sitting idle while your brain wants to 'Wing. But it can't 'Wing if we don't have enough info on new cards.

That being said, I imagine with their being fewer ships and cards in this new wave, they won't be releasing as many spoilers. Which means they have to spread out the timetable. And I'm mostly okay with that, I like the idea of not knowing what about half the package is, makes buying it and opening it more rewarding. That being said, I'd love to see some point totals on the other ships at least. That, and what Tactical Jammer does.
