Death & readying your character

By chinese boxer, in UFS General Discussion

Hey guys,

Are there any foundations/actions that allow you to ready your character, off of Death ? I'm trying to build a death character but I need to be able to ready him after I use his Enhance ability. Anybody have any ideas on what i can use?

Thanks in advance

Self Aware, which rotated.

And the last card off of Death to ready anything is banned for a reason: Higher Calibur.

You can splash Nefarious Deeds :)

Well, you can splash many things, but he asked specifically off of Death.

I suppose it doesn't hurt to suggest either. Pigeon Games has All/Order/Void...

yeah your best bet is to splash another symbol youve got ring of fame for the cost of 2 momentum in fire/air/water.....

or arrogant and insolent if you give damage redux to your attack...or your opponents depending on what your character does

Thanks guys for all your input. The above mentioned options are not really going to help me, since Death is the principal symbol I'm using and not really able to splash any of hte symbols mentioned above, with perhaps only Void being an option. Well, I gues it's back to the old drawing board...

Guess you'll only be able to use Rashotep's ability once per turn then?

It's not really his ability that I want to abuse, it's more the damage boost from Hulking Brute that I would like to use more than once during his turn. WIth the foundations, actions and assets at his disposal, blanking or eliminating probelmatic cards in my opponents staging area is pretty simple, and I probably won't be using Rashotep's ability all that often. I find that the deck i'm constructing doesn't do enough damage, and Hulking Brute seems to be the only real foudation that offers a decent damage boost, apart from his asset. So I would like to use it more than just once per turn. This is where my problem lies.

Unstoppable Warrior? Ymirfang? Huge Wrestling Army? All Life is Prey (although it's more of a combo card)? Greed's Influence?

So why do you need to ready your character to re-use Hulking Brute?

Don't you have to commit your character to get the +2 damage?

"Earth Character E Commit: Your attack gets +2 damage."

Those are some good ideas, however I don't have access to most of the cards that you posted, with the exception of All life is Prey, which with the amount of foundations I will be destroying may come in handy. That's actually not a bad idea, thanks man!

No you dont have to commit your char for the earth char e, your guy just has to have earth. The foundation not the char commits to pay the cost.

Absolutely not!

In this case, you only need an Earth character to be able to play this ability, and you commit the card used as the cost. There is no charcter commiting involved there. The only time you commit your character in UFS is when it specifically say to do so.

any ( insert symbol here) ability means you need to have that symbol on your character to be able to play said ability ( paying all cost bla bla bla ).

so now you only need to find a way to ready the foundation, not your character.

Wow.... I really misread that card. It's funny because whenever I played no memories, I did the exact same thing for the second R on that card, and nobody ever told me i was playing it incorrectly. Now I can splash Shooting Capoera into my deck to ready my Hulking Brute.

Thanks for setting me straight guys, much appreciated.

Huge Wrestling Army is better :P

It doesn't have Death, but I'm really digging Travel Abroad off Earth/Void in my Pharaoh deck.

Travel Abroad definitely has potential (I like it so much more than Enraged Golem, come to think of it), but I don't think I'll ever be able to play it after running it in both Vast Resources mono-Void {8th Bill} and Silent Step Order/Void {High Plasma Beam + Pyscho Style + Personal Style} Yunseong-3. :(
