That's a good one, when you can pull it off.
The one that jumps to mind for me is dropping a wounded bloodthirster with Kemler's Skeleton bomb. There is something about bringing down those big guys with a swarm of seemingly useless disks that will all die at the end of the phase anyway.
But, I always get a bit of a thrill when I hit with 'Fist of Mork' too. There is always that 'oh crap' look, when your opponent realizes that too many of their units are just a bit too close together.
And, last but not least, is the troll striding through the swamp to vomit on one hero while pinning an important disk. I've had that one go off well a few times. The look on peoples faces when one of their precious units is wiped from the table with a risky move like that is priceless.
I had a game where my bolt thrower pinned a stack of enemy disks in my opponent's deployment zone in the first round (I think there were five). The game was awhile ago, so I don't remember if I had eager troops, or a long deployment zone or if the scenario allowed for more movement, but somehow I moved out with a dragon the first round, and then went first the next round. I crossed the entire board and pinned the whole stack, and for bonus points fried a black orc unit nearby. Supported by reavers and the rest of my troops moving up, the dragon was able to chew through the whole pile as the game progressed.
My brother vowed never to stack units like that again.
On the topic or dragons, I have done some devastation with double dragons, a shield of saphery, and Alarielle. You pin as many units as you can with one dragon, shield him, and then have both dragons shoot into the resulting engagement. Lots of crisped corpses. If the dragon lived, Alarielle can remove any wounds.
Also, any time a Speed of Asuryan mobile Teclis pops something I get a little chill. Simple combo, but one that is always satisfying.
I play high elves way too much...
Edited by JedheadIn a three player game I waited until both of my enemies (Empire and Chaos) clashed in melee combat and piled on each other, then blasted the whole melee with six dics involved in one activation turn, using Fists of Mork (cast by Azagh, and rolling die like Gork himself) and finishing lone survivor with Shamans Magic 4 blast. This was a magical moment for WAAAGH!!! Grimgor.
