Welcome to NOVA Squadron Radio!

This week we go beyond the basics and dive into the rules of playing at the competitive level. Ron joins us and he gives us an introduction to him and his history with NOVA Squadron. We then talked about the games we have been playing and the lists we have been testing.

We then cover the latest news in the world of X-Wing Miniatures and if there should be a ban on the TIE Phantom with Advanced Cloaking Device.

Next, we have our first of two interviews, Mr. Hossie from Monday Night X-Wing joins the show.

We then discussed what one can expect when attending a tournaments and we pass out some basic tips and tactics to help you do better at your local events!

We then talked to Mike Brandt from the NOVA Open and we get to learn what this great event is all about.

Just a little bump...

Finally got a chance to listen, good stuff, people!

On the whole ACD banning thing, I personally don't think it should be. It helps the Phantom fly much the same way I fly interceptors, only more so. As for the 4 defense dice, ever since my wife one-shotted my Soontir Fel +Stealth, at range 3, through an asteroid, I've not been intimidated by large numbers of green dice. The Phantom is a powerful ship, PARTICULARLY with that upgrade, but it takes a lot of thought and skill to fly it well.

That was sort of our feeling on the subject as well. I was just really surprised on how many people felt that this one ship was THAT powerful. I do believe it helps to re-define the meta, but it will not dominate it!

I really wish I could attend NOVA as I live less than 15 minutes away from the venue. Just can't fit it into the budget, it ain't cheap. It's worth it, but it's pricey.

I was originally going to go, but my work schedule won't allow it

I recently got a new job and my vacation time is building up so no NOVA for me either. Luckily the rest of the cast will be there. I'm so jealous!
