Had an epic two on two battle today at our FLGS. Imperials won the day, coming down to only two ships left. A jousting Vessery and Chewbacca. Vessery came out on top with 3 hull remaining. The TIE Phantom and Chewie had an amazing duel that lasted nearly the whole match, with the TIE Defenders and Omicron Group Pilot almost singlehandedly carrying the other theatre (with some assistance from Carnor Jax of course). We stayed almost 2 hours past closing, which was really cool of the owner to let us do. May have helped that one of the employees was flying Imperials with me!

But the term "epic" has been used for anything awesome for much longer. I've had 800 point battles of X-Wing long before huge ships ever came out, so Epic is relative.
