Tie bomber k-turn overlapping

By Replay, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Hi everyone,

I know that when I try a K-turn that I can not complete because I overlap another ship I do not take stress token (if is red k-turn) because on the rules I read:

"If the active ship is executing a k-turn maneuver that causes it to overlap another ship, instead treat its maneuver as a straight maneuver with the same speed and color revealed on the dial"

So, for example, a 3 k-turn not completed on a tie fighter is green, a 4 k-turn not completed on a tie fighter is white.

Now, what happen when I do not complete a k-turn on a tie bomber that do not have a straight 5 on its maneuver dial? I think to consider it like a neutral color (white), my opponents think that mantain the only color for 5 speed present on my dial (red).

This for me is very important because I use the deadeye, and if the maneuver is red I can take the focus necessary to shot my secondary weapon.

Thx

If you can not complete a k-turn, due to overlapping, you will be stressed if you revealed a red maneuver on the dial.

A couple of exceptions are the Defender and Adrenaline Rush.

Overlapping with a Bomber's 5 k-turn is a red move, you will be stressed, even if you can not complete the k-turn.

You are wrong about not taking the stress token, and I've bolded the text that indicates that. If you revealed a red k-turn, your move is treated as a move of the same speed and color. Even though you have not turned around you will treat it as red and receive the stress token.

Ok, so the word "revealed" means the color of the k-turn showing at the moment, not the color of straight of correspondig speed. Sorry for this mistakes but I think that the translation of rulesbook in my language use different word that change the use of the rules. Thank you very much

To be blunt: regardless of whether or not your move is successful, if the maneuver on the dial is red, you will receive a stress token.

Why don't we just say "Effects due to the difficulty of the maneuver trigger normally".

That covers green as well as red, and handles things like Adrenaline Rush or Porkins.

Shorthands are dangerous :)

When you overlap with a K-turn, you move as far as you can down the template until you are touching, but don't turn. You do not change your dial to a matching straight maneuver. You chose a red, so you get a stress token, and skip the Perform Action step. So you would not have a focus token, unless it came from another ship (like Garven). No one can pass you a free action while you are stressed either.
