THE BLACK SUN COMETH!

By Joe Boss Red Seven, in X-Wing

Thanks for the updates. I never played the game.

:)

I have made dozens of Google searches this past year for Hutt and Black Sun Ships and theses came up more often than not with other ship classes too of course.

But guyz third faction won't ever happen, they laughed at us when we said a third faction was the next logical step, but whose laughing now?

Who and when? Is there an artical that's not a pdf that I can se where the ffg staf laughed at the x-wing fanbase about us wanting a third faction or more?

He means some of the people here I believe...

The M3-A Scyk is not in the Roleplaying Books. At least not in the Starship section.

Has anyone seen the Intimidation artwork anywhere else?

I'm thinking it's brand new. And if it's brand new, then there's no reason why the artwork shouldn't feature a rebel and imperial ship. That is unless.

AHH...

:o

WE HAVE BEEN RIGHT ALL ALONG!!!

 :D ^_^

Because we are NOT dumb.

:P

Yep. A Medium Hutt Fighter is on the Intimidation artwork.

I never played galaxy ether lol. WOTC made some good backstory for theses ships in the Rebellion era source bok. It came out way later than galaxy. If other factions use them its prob a limited production, prob not as limited as the ZC.

Question is what theme colors should these new factions get? Black Sun without question should be Purple. The ZC should be a rich crimson red. I think bounty hunters / mercs should have a greyish green color. Hutts should be gold, corp sector silver. There crap loads of factions and I don't feel like naming off colors for all of them lol.

Now we're just getting into ridiculous territory.

And the ZC is bad fanfiction at best

I like your colors. I have seen that gray-green a lot with Boba Fett art too.

:D

How many of the other Bounty Hunters do we think are going to be coming out to play this year and into 2015?

BELIEVE IT... AND REJOICE!

Just say'n. I am going to be very happy when these and the many other babies are in this awesome game.

The first fighter you showed is the Vaksai and it is not a lighter. The Kihraxz is the light fighter. What you have labled as the Heavy Fighter is the Black Sun Supa Fighter, made by Black Sun Orks???.

Whoa, no no no sir.

That's the Rihkxyrk.

That one labeled Medium Hutt Fighter is in one of the Edge of the Empire adventures, its called a Dunelizard. A Kubaz spy working for Teemo the Hutt used it in that adventure.

I think this thread needs to have an FAQ for the amount of miswording and misinformation it contains.

Yeah, there somany fighters in this book and most of the darksun and zc fighters have there picture 3 pages over.

Cool Blacky. I say IG-88 or Bossk... and both withing the year.

So how do you think ffg would debut a third faction, if it happens?

A Wave 6 release of just 4 new faction ships (3 small 1 large, or 2 each), or an Aces style pair of ships not part of a wave release, or would they go with a 3 pack simmilar to the starter kit?

How many ships would need to be released at once for the faction to be able to compete with the existing factions, and what roles would these initial ships need to fill to do so?

It could be a full wave or a nice special set like the Aces then say two ships in Wave Six, then more in the same way.

We may even get an all new Outer Rim boxed set with all kinds of neat rules and three or four ships.

FFG can go many ways with it, but I am absolutely certain that we are going to see something in a few days for Pirates/Hutts in some form or another.

:D

It might be cool if they did a 4 ship set with 2 identidical fighters, a heavy fighter, and a large ship with some support capabilities. 1 set gives you a 100 point squad, another gives you some squad building flexibility. I don't think they'll do this of course.

I doubt they're going to debut a 3rd faction at gencon, but I'd be very surprised if we don't see a pair of huge imperial ships. While the big imperial ships are expected and desired by a large player base, the third faction doesn't really have the demand to warent the investment, on top of that, ffg is developing Armada to sell to the same customer base. At this point developing and marketing another faction might spread them too thin. I guess we'll know by monday.

He's right about that one. The Dunelizard, that is.

Maybe the reason Wave 5 is only 2 ships is that Wave 6 may be 6 or more?

That would be a decent start to a 3rd faction, I think, but I'm just spitballing here.

I wondered about that too. It is fun to think about. No matter how it happens, it IS going to happen.

^_^

The brand new art we have seen today and previously is an absolute 110% validation that a Pirate/Hutt series in some form is going to grace this wonderful game.

Bout time too!

:D

I want one to come about.

But I don't know if they will. If they do, they need their own grouped set so you can play them as a faction right off the bat, preferably with three ships.
