Seems silly to ask after three years of playing, but just want to make sure it hasn't changed.

damage can go into the negatives during the E step. And the block step. During the dmg step if dmg is < 0 then it does not deal damage.

You can have an attack with -5 damage, but you cannot deal -5 damage.....if that makes sense.

Short answer, you play ichi no tachi 3m3, your opponent plays Amy's Assistance, revealing a 5, your ichi is now at -2 damage. It will not deal damage. Your opponent will not "take" damage. You cannot R with padma, etc.

Making sure I understood it correctly. It hasn't changed (pending a stamp, that is).
