Apologies if this topic has already been covered (I didn't see it on a brief search) but I am in need of clarification regarding Han's Pilot Ability (2 questions specifically);
1) Can Han use his pilot ability to allow a re-roll of both HIS primary weapon attack AND that of Gunner in the same turn?
2) Can Han use his pilot ability to re-roll the Gunner attack when the "Blinded Pilot" critical hit card is in play?
If you're interested the specific scenario was this;
The falcon (with gunner) is surrounded by 1 interceptor (range 1 with an evade token) and 2 tie fighters (range 3, no tokens). The falcon only has 4 hull points left but shoots first;
Han's first 4 dice shot gives 1 hit for Han, he uses Han's pilot ability to re-roll, this time getting 2 hits. Interceptor rolls 2 evades so no hits therefore "Gunner" triggers. Gunner's shot gives 2 hits, he uses Han's pilot ability on the gunner's shot and gets 3 hits and 1 crit. The interceptor rolls 1 evade (plus the evade token leaving 1 hit and 1 crit - which turned out to be "Direct Hit" and one dead interceptor) - so 4 bites at the cherry - I read the "once per opportunity" ruling in the latest FAQ as Han only allowing 1 re-roll for the attack not 2.
In response the tie fighters manage to land a crit hit on the Falcon, "Blinded pilot". In the next turn my opponent rolls no dice "which is a missed attack", Gunner therefore triggers so he shoots. With only the 1 hit he uses Han's pilot ability to re-roll this gunner attack, despite Han (the pilot) being blinded. The outcome of this second attack was another dead tie... Boo hiss... This second situation seems more "against the spirit" of the rules than anything else in my book...
