I look at the overall list builds rather than just Echo or just Whisper. After all, the best ship doesn't mean the best list.

Here is what I took to Spokane to a 5-0 result in the swiss:

Echo with VI, Rebel Captive, and Advanced Cloak

5 academy pilots

The academies are there to control board position so that Echo can move and attack with impunity. They can also work over a falcon pretty good as well.

2x Sigmas with Recon and Stygian followed by Howlrunner and Mauler both with Swarm Tactics.

Most fun?

Echo+PTL+adv sens+ stygian+recon

Don't ptl all the time. But his already curved BR + green banks gets you pointed in the right direction most of the time and you're stress free. Ptl + Stygian is also a nice "I got caught" button to push for cloak, free evade, double focus or double focus/double evade if already cloaked.

Had a few successful games with this list:

Whisper + VI+ ACD

Rexler Brath + Predator + HLC

Dark Curse

100 points, but the trio still excels without Initiative.

I'm trying to build a list around the same Echo build, but really don't like 5 TIEs. Trying to put BH with gunner and Doomshuttle in the list. Do you think that will work?
