Bring on the squid

By Imperial scum, in X-Wing

My most anticipated future crew release has to be Admiral Ackbar. He is really the last recognizable character from the original trilogy yet to be transferred to a card.

I was thinking, to stay in theme, his card ability would be:

Rebel huge ship only

At the start of your turn discard this card to allow all friendly ships with a PS of 5 or above to change their movement dial before executing a maneuver.

Of course you would have to shout," it's a trap" when using his ability.

Anyone else waiting for his release?

Tarkin

also Palpatine

I'm hoping for a regular crew card, he belongs in a B-wing too. Some kind of ally action, buff, or intel ability. Cant think of anything fresh off the top of my head.

Ackbar: player must shout it's a trap loudly then direct all his ships strait towards the enemy.

I'd like to see Ackbar in a B-wing AND as a crew. Not sure what he'd do but it would have to be able to summarized with,"It's a trap!" Lending out barrel rolls or handing out an evade token or something.

How about intelligence agent style but get to look at two dials R1-3 instead of one R1-2? That way you'd know what the enemy is up to when the dials have already been set and know whether or not to shout things like: "It's A TRAP!" or "Our target lock and focus cannot repel boost and barrel rolls of that magnitude"

Okay more serious try "it's a trap" two ships within range 1-2 gain an evade token, does not boost offensive power but could extend the life span of a more expensive ship in your fleet.

I'd say he gives some sort of bonus to allies within range that take an evade action.

For example, something like, "one per turn, when an ally within range 1-3 takes an evade action, or receives an evade token, they may receive a free evade token"

Kind of a recon specialist for evade, but for nearby ships instead of the one he's on.

After all, he's pointing the trap.

Ackbar: player must shout it's a trap loudly then direct all his ships strait towards the enemy.

I was thinking it should be must change dial to a K-Turn instead.

or something like "At the start of combat, if you are within two or more enemy ships arc within range 1 - 3, assign one evade token to your ship"

When being attack by a ship outside your firing arc you may perform a white 1 turn in the direction of the attacker, once per round. Definitely something that "moves you into the enemy fleet."
