Got my Applied Perspective Templates

By Rogue Dakotan, in X-Wing

My templates came in! They shipped on Monday and arrived on Wednesday.

Opaque Black templates. Fluorescent Orange and Green rulers.

I happened to have silver and green model paint so I painted the numbers and arrows and lines before I peeled the cover off.

They come with this sticker paper protecting them, but where it's been etched is etched through the paper making it perfect for painting before you peel it.

The pic doesn't do the black and silver justice. It's really sexy. I'm very pleased.

Much cheaper than other sites like Litko and Team Covenant too.

Nice

I really want to get a set

Do people let you user them in tournaments?

Nice!

I just got them yesterday! Played one game.

I've seen people use custom ones in tournaments before. FFG rules say that they're fine in tourneys as long as both players agree to use the same set to make things uniform.

Wow, those look great. I've been leery of getting plastic templates because I don't like the standard fluorescent options out there, but this is right up my alley.

Tournament rules say they are ok, and if there is a conflict a single set can be used for consistency. The acrylic ones are more constant that the cardboard anyways.

Yeah I wanted to stick with black for the templates. These are slick. :)

I agree with what the rules say, but I would be a bit concerned by the lines. I know it is possible to ask not to have the lines. Has anyone run into an issue with a TO disallowing them on this basis?

I don't get to play in tournaments too much, but would like to know. I personally like the lines, but I could understand if someone had issue with them. I was considering getting a set and just need to know if I should request that my set not have the lines, or if I should at least consider getting 2 sets (one with lines, one without).

I used mine at regionals without issue. One player asked to share templates.

I have the mirror finish from AP. Not only are they really nice, but they also have a slight texture to the bottom, which means they don't slide as much.

Ty for the info. I have thought about it a bit and will likely just order two sets, one with lines, one without. They are not too expensive and then I have a security blanket =).
