Hey folks. I've not tried my transport yet. Had fun with the corvette, but it was a massive point sink. Fancy trying the transport next. Any tips on load out?
Top tips for running a transport?
Focus your build and make sure it is tight... Squad building is the same with the big ships as you have learned sink too many points in it and you will not do well.
If you plan to use reinforce, then build around that. If you want it to be more offensive go with slicer tools and upgrades around that.
From my experience if you don't have some sort of offensive capability most will ignore it til last, so plan for/around that.

The transport can be customised for many distinct roles: you can build it to be an undying tank (although that's only really useful for Evacuation of Hoth or if you're good at TIE swatting with it), a shield projector vessel that shields your other ships and acts effectively as cover, or an electronic warfare platform that stresses your opponents ships enmasse and then damages them. And then there's Toryn Farr.
Try to use upgrades that dont take an action to use if you want it to be a support ship

Are Transports tournament-legal? How come no one has used it in a Regionals build yet? How come it's not even on the list in the Regionals aggregate data thread?

Because they are legal for Epic tournaments only.
Drop your cargo at the first sign of an Imperial cruiser.
Just make sure Jabba doesn't find out. Home slug will never let it go.
Thanks for the tips folks. Gonna get list building. ![]()
While slicer tools are rarther 'meh' on a CR90, you may want to consider them on the transport. It can really neutralize PTL Interceptors, Opportunists (kind of), and can be very rough with some Tactician/Gunner partner ships.
I like X wing nut's first build. It's a support ship. Use it as such.
