Is there a list? I keep seeing things like EU and PTL fly around. I actually know what PTL is! EU? Engine Upgrade, now that I think about it... Is there a list? It's rough for a new guy.
List of Acronyms
EU can also be expanded universe depending on context
HSF. Han shoots first
ORS. Outer rim smuggler
Ors. Jan Ors the pilot
Most of the generic pilots get abbreviated, so if you see an abbreviation you don't know, run through the pilots first to see if any of them fit.
Haven't seen one. New to this myself. EU stands for Extended Universe. What that include and not I'm not sure. Just know that OT=original trilogy is not part of it. But what does PTL mean? ![]()
A stickied thread of this would be a nice resource
What is the Han Shoots First build?
EU= European Union....
Han Shoots First:
Han Solo w/ Gunner and various other upgrades
Two small-base ships, usually X-Wings or B-Wings
Haven't seen one. New to this myself. EU stands for Extended Universe. What that include and not I'm not sure. Just know that OT=original trilogy is not part of it. But what does PTL mean?
Push The Limit. It's an Elite Pilot Talent card.
What is the Han Shoots First build?
Usually a three ship build with Han Solo + Gunner + Marksmanship. Sometimes there is a change up on the crew member and the EPT or Elite Pilot Trait but that is basicly all a HSF list is.
What makes the build so good is you usually have to kill Han real early because you will lose a ship a round to him.
Incredible what a google search will give you:

EU = expanded universe or engine upgrade
SD = stealth device
ACD = Advanced Cloaking Device
Alabaster Hippo = Lambda Shuttle
Ibby = Ibtisam
F/TL: Focus target lock.
ASC = Alabaster Space Cow, a large white, 3-winged Imperial transport often mistaken for a fighter.

i second this notion
half the time i'm still second guessing myself what each acronym stands for and i'm a veteran since wave 1
HLC = heavy laser cannon.
APT = advance proton torpedoes
B*****D = Soontir Fel with PTL & SD.
Technically, only ORS and IBBY are acronyms.
EU is also short for Engine Upgrade. PTL is short for Push The Limits, which is an EPT- or, Elite Pilot Trait/Talent
"Put an EU on Ibtisam with PTL as her EPT and you can get a highly maneuverable and efficient fighter." or "The Lambda would greatly benefit from the EU."
In the context of EU meaning Extended Universe, the acronym is often found in the discussion of ships found in video games or non-film appearances, such as the Wave 4 and 5 ships, the HWK-290 and ships people wish to see in future waves.
"I'm really excited that FFG is willing to dig into the EU for more ships. I loved [insert 90s SW game here] and can't wait to use them on the tabletop!"
Most of the time, it's just the first letter of each word of the upgrade:
VI: Veteran Instinct
DtF: Draw their Fire
PtL: Push the Limit
EU: Engine Upgrade
SD: Stealth Device
ACD: Advanced Cloaking Device
etc.....
We're just lazy like that....
Acronyms save time
