I absolutely love this teaser. You can already tell who the main characters are, and some of their personalities: Young hotshot Fighter pilot, top of his class at academy, but ultimately inexperienced. Probably a bit of a ****, but with the help of a gruff old veteran in an Interceptor who becomes his mentor/father figure he comes into his own as a badass pilot by the end of the movie/series. The Bomber pilot is probably a moderately experienced lone-wolf type who values kill-count over everything else. Somehow, she ends up grouped with the other two guys (maybe a secret mission?). On this mission, her and the hotshot start to fall in love (because every movie has a romance subplot). the Mentor dude dies, but by then the hotshot has absorbed most of his lessons, takes command of the squadron, saves the day, and gets the girl.

before you ask, yes I do watch way too much TV/Movies, and yes I did get all that from a single two-minute clip.

Edit: also, this is some amazing animation for an amateur, and I can't freakin' wait to see the whole project. Has there been any more recent news than 2012?

As to the original topic, it is a good video, and many of us love it... it does the heart good seeing the Imperial forces utilizing competent pilots for a change..

I really don't know if there is a project. This clip came out in 2012. I can't find any indication that the artist is working on an actual movie or what. My guess is no, unless the artist got some sort of license from Disney.

No matter how many times I've watched that video it never gets old.

Who ever made it did an awesome job.

In the style of Japanese anime, I think star wars would be awesome.

It sure as hell would look a lot better than the clone wars and the new rebels show that is coming out.

The art is awesome, and not all kiddy looking like the new series.

One thing I never liked about the new star wars is how kidish everything looks.
