An E-Wing with a hull upgarade or a Defender? The stat lines are the same, there are more action and upgrade options for the E-Wing tho. I've flown the E-Wing several times now and am thinking it is the sleeper out of Wave 4. That white k-turn makes up for lots of things on the Defender. But Im leaning on the E-Wing with the hull upgrade(my standard upgrade on it).

I'd say the E-Wing would have a major edge in that, since it has so many more actions. That being said, I'm still not sure which one would "win" in a fight. But If I had to take a Defender against that E-wing in a squad, I'd be taking Vessery.

Or, an Ion Cannon. The ships are so closely matched that one good Ion/Outmaneuver could sway it.
