Are there players in the Minneapolis area that are interested in playing some LoTR at the FFG Game Center in Roseville?

Just bumping this thread to keep it more visible.
Yes - I'm interested in playing.
Are you actually a dedicated player of LoTR LCG, or are you just doing more spamming for your store ?
Based on the information in your post about LoTR LCG Tournaments on the CardGameDB boards , I assume you do not play this game much, if at all.
You also showed up at the FFG Game Center one night during Star Wars LCG play and were asking many of the players where they usually play, and then telling them about your store, meanwhile sitting there with a box of various LCG stuff but not playing any games of anything with anyone.
If you actually want to run a LoTR Tournament, this is what a post looks like , and here is a write-up about one ...
Please stop spamming here and on the CardGameDB boards, and please stop spamming my post. I am seeking players with a genuine interest in the game. The rebuttal that you have no doubt been working up in the back of your mind as you read this post is that you are not spamming, but trying to create awareness and excitement about LCGs. I think that, based on your post about LoTR tournaments and others, I have sufficient evidence to say that you lack a basic awareness of the workings of LoTR Tournament play. Or, perhaps you have crafted some form of house rules? In either case, I am not interested.

I live in the St Paul area and I would be interested in playing some time. I rarely get a chance to play anything but solo.
I'm also interested. I live in St. Paul and can usually only find a free night every other week, but I'd like to play with other advanced players. Divinityofnumber, I appreciate you having a hand in setting up the Against the Shadow tournament last winter. Had a blast there.

Thanks!
I had an awesome time too. I feel like the experience of prepping for that taught me so much about the game. I had never played one scenario so many times...
It also was cool to see how other people go about playing the game. Your team and my team had both arrived at builds that could pretty consistently beat Journey Down the Anduin in 4-5 turns, but we did it in very different ways. My teammate and I learned a lot by seeing how other people approached the scenario.
I wish that more Race Against the Shadow events took place. I think that people hear "LoTR" and "tournament" and get freaked out that it will become something more akin to other competitive games. But, the truth is that the Race Against the Shadow format feels like everyone collectively challenging a given scenario. For me, I didn't really care who won; the excitement was from watching all of us do our very best and seeing what is possible with respect to a given scenario.
It is a cool experiment to take a scenario and have some advanced players test the limits of the game itself, trying to see just how quickly it can be beaten. Your team currently holds the world record for beating Journey Down the Anduin!
I haven't heard of any Race Against the Shadow events besides the one that we had at the FFG Center, which is disappointing.
